Mesa, AZ, June 1, 2005 —Wind Turbine Model Development.
Ken Hicks, Centripetal President and CEO, announced today that the company is in the process of developing a small scale prototype of the corporation’s two bladed down wind turbine technology. This prototype will be used to gather data using water tunnel testing. This testing process will proved much greater detail to the performance parameters of the turbine. The proposed turbine size will be approximately 7 feet tall and will exactly, represent the tower and airfoils of the proposed 1.5MW version. This test data will prove without a doubt that the airfoil tower combination, in conjunction with the two-blade configuration will surpass any other two bladed turbine technology. The corporation is also pursing certain strategic international patents related to the technology as well as other patents that are a direct spin-off of the turbine.
